The historic city centre can be reached in just a few minutes by using the underground U1. The underground stop Praterstern is located just a few footsteps from the hotel.

The 'Hauptallee', the main street of the famous Viennese Prater has its starting point at the back side of the building reachable through our garden.

The Hotel Cristall is located in the next area of the Messe Wien (Vienna Fair Ground) und the Vienna International Center.

Vienna's appearance is manifold from the historic city centre with its magnificent buildings from many different centuries, to the former villages outside the once-standing city ramparts, to the green hills of the Vienna Woods.

Very close to the city centre there is the Prater, and Natural Park that covers more than 5 square kilometres and was an imperial hunting ground until 1766.

Today the Prater has lakes from old tributaries of the Danube, meadows, grand boulevards lined with chestnut trees and the fun park with its merry-go-rounds and rollercoasters. However, the sights of Vienna are not the only reason for paying a visit.

A window-shopping stroll through the downtown pedestrian zone of the historic city centre, going to a musical or concert, or spending a cosy evening at the 'Heuriger' (wine tasting taverne) - all these are only some examples for the many possibilities that Vienna offers to its visitors.

A TRADTIONAL HOTEL

Along the streets leading to the Prater there once were inns where the coachmen could take a rest with their horses. A modern hotel business has emerged from such inns with its old arched vaults intact.

Breakfast buffet is served in our restaurant. The green garden invites you to enjoy an open-air breakfast in summer or to relax with a drink after a stressful day.

A short walk over 'Prater Hauptallee' will lead you to the well-known 'Wiener Schweizerhaus' (Viennese Swiss house) - in Vienna you must drink a cool glass of Budweiser!

Our 55 functional and stylish rooms are individually decorated and equipped with bath or shower, WC, minibar (surcharge), satellite TV, hair-dryer, direct dial telephone, windows that can be opened, working desk, heating and cable-lan internet access (surcharge).

The Hotel Cristall is centrally located - less than 15 minutes walking distance from the St. Stephan`s Cathedral to Praterstern. Also the underground and suburban rail line stations are only a few meters away. The Prater is practically in front of the door (on the backside of the building) - a paradise for nature lovers, cyclists and joggers and a must for fans of parks.

The famous 'Hundertwasserhaus' and the 'Johann Strauss Museum', you will reach within 5 minutes walking distance.

The hotel has an open unsecured parking, free of charge, upon availability. The hotel offers internet for EUR 2 per 30 minutes. Internet (CableLan) is available in the hotel and in every room. Pets are allowed in the hotel for EUR 10 per day. The hotel has no facilities for disabled guests (accessible by wheelchair, adequate rooms and bathrooms).

From the 10th of April 2006 on, the Hotel offers a bike rental service. In case of reservation through this website, the bike rental is free of charge, upon availability.
