Long Stop Over.

You're flying to Spain from Los Angeles and have a five hour stop over in London's Heathrow airport. What will you do there for so many hours? Well, the possibilities are limited, but there are a few things one can find to do to get distracted for at least a couple of hours.

Heathrow is like a big mall - there are lot's of stores and places to eat, so windowshopping looks like a good option and eating is always nice...(Do keep in mind London is a very expensive city) For those with not too much money to spend (like me) I suggest simply reading, I believe a good book is always a must when travelling.

Ultimately, and especially after a 10 hour flight from L.A, a good nap does it for me. Find a not too crowded area with a nice free row of seat and relax!! If your stop is not too long, remember Heathrow is a pretty big airport, you might arrive at a different terminal from the one you leave from, which means that it may take time to get to where you want (your plane, that is).
