The Lowdown on Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

The Culling Continues. Tree Cutting in Phnom Penh.
After a first round of rather severe tree 'trimming' which started last year on street 240 and continued with tree mauling along Mao Tse Toung, Monivong and a few other main roads, the boys are back.
Street 63 is now facing the chop; after a single day of pruning, you can now see the Soryia shopping center dome from Sihanoukville boulevard.
Whatever you are reading about the quaint 'tree lined boulevards' in Phnom Penh - a rarity in Asian captials, be prepared for a bit of shock.
